A versatile, summer snack for you and your kids!
Three times a month I do recipe demonstrations with the community group that I work with. I demonstrate to expecting mothers and their children different recipe and snack ideas. This one, Frozen Yogurt Pops, was a hit! I can't wait to explore more flavours over the last few weeks of summer.
I can't take credit for the whole recipe, this recipe was originally made by Cookspiration, check them out here:
The reason I made these Frozen Yogurt Pops in ice cube trays is because: I had to serve a large number or people, they are the perfect sample size and kid-size and lastly because they are so dang cute!
Frozen Yogurt Pops
Ingredients
1/2 cups Watermelon
1 cup Blueberries
2 cups Plain Greek Yogurt (or flavoured)
1/3 cup Honey
Directions and Tips
To make this recipe simply blend ingredients together. If you are using an ice cube tray, this should fill 2 trays.
I used "cake pop" sticks cut in half for this recipe, but you can also use popsicle sticks. Or, if you have actual popsicle molds, that part is taken care of for you!
Tip! If you are inserting popsicle sticks, be sure to place mixture in the freezer for 10 minutes. Once the mixture is slightly frozen, place the sticks in the centre so they do not fall over.
If you try out this recipe, please let me know! I'd love to hear what you think or if you tried other flavours!
